The export slaughterhouse RIMA N.V. was the first pig chain with the Wroetstysystem to receive a Better Life Star from the Animal Protection Society. However, RIMA N.V. goes further than just 1 star!
The pigs live on closed floors with a thick layer of litter on which they can rest, play, and of course, root!
They live in large groups, and compared to other stable systems, our pigs have three times more living space!
We use a thorough pricing model, because we believe in fair trade and that farmers deserve a fair price for their products. You also want your piece of meat to be produced with respect for people, animals, and the environment—at a fair price.
